Do you like webpages that automatically play a video... most likely with sound... when you click on a link that goes to said webpage?

    I hate it.

Because typically they have an ad first.
John Erlichman, one of President Richard Nixon's closest aides, has admitted America's "War on Drugs" was a hoax designed to vilify and disrupt "the antiwar left and black people" when it was launched in 1971.

...usually compelled to watch an ad prior or some other annoying pop up.

I like the option to start and end the video at my convenience.

        I agree.

I guess I am getting old. I am an old school web surfer. Back in the day when connections were slower I would open a link so it could load while I was reading another page. So I am in the habit of doing that.

If a page now opens up a video while I am reading another page, it just is distracting. I prefer to be more in control of things.

If it's a website you visit often:
You can right click and choose " View Page Info"
Then choose "Permissions" at the top
          Then you can:
          block images from loading
          block video's from loading
block pop ups, block plug ins etc

Unrelated to that, here' a very cool article about how technology hijacks your web and mobile experiences

          https://medium.com/swlh/how-technolo...df3#.4uf1b2b8m

"We need our smartphones, notifications screens and web browsers to be exoskeletons for our minds and interpersonal relationships that put our values, not our impulses, first. People’s time is valuable. And we should protect it with the same rigor as privacy and other digital rights."

I don't like them. Even without an ad, they are typically also auto-sound so whether you're goofing off at work or listening to something else while browsing the noise is the real annoyance.

However, if you decide to auto-play videos on Igglephans I think the KG/Downfall and action-toy wrestling videos would be acceptable.
