I would think they'd be ok with it. He's a 14 year veteran and this is good publicity for the Eagles. He's one of the most likable players on the team.

It's a lot better than missing time over a contract dispute.

And they signed a UDFA long snapper so Dorenbos might know he's not going to last this year.

Dorenbos is still steady. I don't think he has anything to worry about.

The Eagles know exactly what they have in Dorenbos, and it gives a young guy a chance to get reps, which means even if he gets cut, they'll have someone to bring back if Dorenbos gets hurt.

Dorenbos is not getting any younger. This helps him set himself up for post-football.

This is good for everyone involved.
