I have to agree based on what I've seen in the trailers. If what I've seen are considered the good parts it's not a good sign.

Aykroyd has a financial stake in all things Ghostbusters.

The main villain is played/voiced by someone who went to high school with me which is pretty cool.

Rotten Tomatoes has it certified fresh with a 74% rating but I'll probably wait for it to come out on HBO to see it.

              Above average reviews. Surprising.

I read the page of Rotten Tomatoes positive blurbs and they were so lukewarm that I got the feeling it's not all that good but, at the same time, not fucking awful ... so reviewers can get away with being nice ... so they were.

But I wouldn't pay to see it.

The review score discrepancy on IMDB based on gender is pretty crazy.

As long as we're name-dropping, I went to high school with Kate McKinnon. Dated one of her best friends. I may have actually known she was gay before her family did.

The way she is on SNL? She was always that way. Always.

Haha. Yours is better. I kinda knew Neil Casey - I mostly remember that he was highly involved in theatre so I'm not surprised where he is now.

Yeah, I'm really hoping that the new Ghostbusters is good.....if for no other reason than additional opportunities for primo name-dropping.

It was old 5 years ago. Now it's just plain annoying.
