When a gun is involved, we hear about it endlessly. When a gun isn't involved, we hear about it endlessly.

The gun obsession here is getting to the point where it's consuming the board. And honestly, it makes the place suck.

      Agreed. It goes beyond guns

and Im certainly guilty starting this thread.

Everytime something like this happens, the political agendas come out in force. Nobody changes anybody's mind and everybody is pissed.

And nothing new has been said on the matter in over a decade. Nobody's convincing anyone of anything. It's a futile time-suck, with the same names saying the same things ad infinitum.

I understand I have the option of not clicking on the threads. I guess that's something I need to work on.

Yup...If 20 dead children wont change anything...

...shooting up a movie theatre or nightclub certainly wont.

Not a political statement, just my opinion

and agreed on the avoiding clicking on some of this stuff

Less Gun Nutz, more Kelly Green.
500 internet fights, that's the number I figured when I first joined igglephans. 500 internet fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate internet-tough guy. You need them for experience, to develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then...after...you realize that's what you are.

I tell your mom "less teeth, more gums". That's how a real pimp says it. Ain't no pimpin going on in Sarasota.

It's an election year and the off season. Worst possible combination. I hate politics on the board.

I hate politics on the internet, period. Facenutz is just as bad, if not worse.

It use to get heated years ago but honestly, I think the board Members do a good job of regulating themselves. Speaking for myself of course, the conversations do not bother me. Some of the conversations can shape my perspective as well.

TerpEagle says things I agree with ( although he has gone overboard with rhetorical questions), and Riccardo has brought light to the reality the guns are here to stay, for example.
