The QB who's being paid like he's supposed to at least get a shot at being the franchise guy is holding for the place for a guy that Howlo fucked up next year's draft to get.

They have no skill position guys because Kelly (who reportedly is changing his ways in dealing with NFL players ... no mandatory white socks at SF TC this year blah blah), couldn't deal with uppity players.

And the coach looks more like he's probably Tommy Boy (Els hit that one into the seats) than Tom Landry.

Like I said in Diggle's thread, there's no buzz. Usually people are hating on them because of how much they suck or singing the tales of sports science and dream teams... I don't remember the last time the interest was this low all around.

Aside from the defense finally having it's first legit DC since Johnson, what's to get exciting about?

The guy who's supposed to give us boners is not going to play ... and wouldn't have anyone to hand or pass the ball to if he did.

Hiring Pederson, resigning Bradford to a stupid contract, & Howie back as GM was the icing on the 3 layered cake.

There's nobody to hate and nobody to love

If Sam had done anything else than shut up and play after his original temper tantrum (as he's done so far), the fan base would have rallied around booing him and chanting for Wentz. There's still time for fans to boo Sam if he sucks in preseason.

Mucus Smith is riding the pine or hurt, so we can't really complain about anything but the fact that he was drafted in the first place. If he was starting, he'd be under the fan and media microscopes.

Pedey is boring and has short-circuited the "Start Wentz" potential by saying he's #3 at best now with a chance to compete.

Defense (Schwartz and the players) is in a position where they have to show something in a real game to earn more than a "meh."

The Offense cant possibly be worse than it was last year. Offense last year was unbearable to watch. 20 second possessions, dropping balls left and right, the ball snapping with the QB not even expecting it to multiple times, offensive linemen completely missing blocking assignment, SO MANY GOD DAMN penalities. Last year was unwatchable.

Good I like under the radar nobody talking about them, every year it has been Chip Kelly and this fast offense, dream team, they are Super Bowl contenders. Let sleeping dogs lie and enjoy whatever they give you.

only hype Eagles can generate is from resigning players to new contracts

The team has identified its core players: Fletcher Cox, Lane Johnson, Zach Ertz, etc, and they resigned them. Lurie was saying he expects the team to contend for the NFC East title, which makes sense based on how much money they spent. But that expectation is laughable.

The draft did not yield players in early rounds who can contribute now, they are all projects who won't start anytime soon, if at all.

Mainly, Wentz is still an unknown, and I worry that Bradford will quit if they start losing after the first few games and focus on being released/traded. If Wentz busts, the team will really be set-back for a long time. The Eagles probably handed Foster to the Browns in next year's draft.

1999 was a long time ago and very different. They didn't mortgage the future on McNabb and he showcased the talent when he did play. 2016 will be a long season.

Pedey concerns me and they have nothing at RB and WR. But I'm hoping for a big things on defense from Schwartz.
