NFL has a list of approved manufacturers and approved supplements. They also have a last of banned manufacturers and banned substances

Johnson's claim makes no sense. IF he took an approved supplement from an approved mfg, then he is in the clear and the case would be resolved in 5 seconds.
If he took an approved ingredient from elsewhere, he's toast because of the lax controls in that entire industry.
Johnson went off-list for some unknown reason and got caught. We don't know that it was some innocent amino acid because the league is forbidden from commenting. He can say whatever he wants with impunity
