So WTF is going on with Lane Johnson?

This is beyond weird now, especially if he doesn't get suspended this week. Is there something legal going on we don't know about?

I had read from some NFL expert (or heard) that the real issue was that the news got out super early and that we typically hear about these suspensions after the initial failure, the B sample test and, i think, the appeal. So, apparently, it's normal and just a matter of someone breaking the story before the whole process was done.

Who knows though, tinfoil hat theory is that the NFL held off because they wanted Philly to get a 1st rounder and the deal is made so that Lane is their to protect the rook for a game. Still doesn't explain all the waiting.

But the whole thing seems odd to me. It just doesn't seem like it should be taking this long.
