I think it's the same as a dislocated or separated rib. Sounds pretty painful, and depending on which rib is involved, potentially dangerous.

I displaced several of your ribs into my stomach yesterday. Those were legit!

Hopefully Burton will be healed up, cuz it's sounds like Ertz is out.

That sounds messed up. To me it sounds like the bone did not fracture but the cartilage connecting the rib to the sternum (breast bone) got injured.

Cartilage does not usually break like a bone does, rather it is more likely to get torn like a rubber band could be.

But who knows. I am not a doc and some of the ways NFL official people like to describe injuries are vague and strange to me.

I'm bummed b/c I thought the Eagles got out of that game yesterday with minimal injuries.

Tore rib cartilage once playing hockey, took months to heal up and its painful. If thats what he injured its not good.

                    did it too,,very uncomfortable injury

all the usual stuff , breathing, sleeping, wiping your ass,,,sneezing is a whole new experience. He might be Ok to play in 2 weeks but it will be more like a 5 week time frame to be pain free,, now if he chooses to play thru it. that's on him and the trainers.

This is a bit of a come-on for chiropractors but also describes it.

Thanks. The sauce was a little experimental, but they turned out pretty good.

I had a crack, but I figure there had to be cartilage issues, too. Didn't hurt at first, but within a few days, it was really awful. Naprosyn was a lifesaver.
