I was actually down there at the protests from around 5-7:15. It was pretty peaceful, mostly working people getting off work at that time, a few families. Seemed like there were a few teenagers and rougher looking people trying to get other people hype. Still was quite surprised to see the difference an hour later. Looks like I left at the right time. Went down there this morning in the middle of where it was nuttiest, and it doesn't look all that bad. A few broken windows, two stores looted, but not really all that much damage. Hopefully it is calmer tonight.

Friends in Raleigh and Wilmington, though! Both great places! When I'm Uber driving everywhere for the kids, I sometimes daydream of flipping everyone off, leave everything... moving to Wilmington... becoming a beach bum and working at The Trolley Stop (Wrightsville Beach) selling hotdogs for beer money and sucking titties for nourishment.
