  • Shitty scheduling by the NFL

Just noticed some BS with our schedule.

Week 7 - vs Minnesota who's coming off a bye
    Week 8 - @ Dallas who's coming off a bye
    Week 9 - @ NYG who's coming off a bye
    Week 10 - vs Atlanta who's coming off a Thursday game (mini-bye)

Four consecutive weeks we play teams with 2 weeks to rest and prepare. Thankful for the hot start bc thats a shitty job of scheduling by the NFL.

The schedule this year really sucks. But to be honest nobody had the Eagles pegged as playoff contenders going into the season.

It's interesting to note how the NFL can subtly influence things. ALL Eagles home games against division opponents are in December, or later... New Year's Day vs. the Cowturds.

Not every team has an Andy Reid like record after the bye...

Over the last 5 years, teams are a combined 82-75 after the bye.

      Minnesota is 0-5
      Dallas is 2-3
      Giants are 4-1

It's probably a good thing as far as keeping the playoff intrigue going as long as possible. And I guess the Eagles benefit from having the games at home.

I'm speaking more from a personal perspective that it sucks to have the last two home games on two holiday weekends. I have mixed feelings about the NY game... In general I hate Thursday games the most, but in this case for many people it might be preferable to a game on Christmas day.

For me, if the Giants game was on xmas day, I'd probably stay at my mom's place in DE the night before and go up to the game. My family (sisters, etc.) usually all get together on xmas eve at my mom's place and then do their own thing on xmas day so xmas day is open for me.
