Agreed, or maybe Wisneiski does steal the job and solidifies the position. That is also possible.

I think Vaitai said the same thing...practice just didn't prepare him for the game speed. Now he knows how fast it is...how fast can he get used to it.

Which I do understand, but coaches lie. If he said, "well, we are planning on stinking this year because we are putting in young guys."

Right there he probably loses the team and the fan-base.

I have no doubt that Pederson wants to win right now...but I also believe that he wants to see if Vaitai will be able to play right now (and into the future) or if this will be something of need for next year.

I know he's not a tackle, but he can play guard and Barbre can play tackle. Look, I'm fine with V getting the playing time and seeing what he can do....as long as it doesn't put Wentz's health at risk. That's all that matters this season. Wentz plays 16 games and we have our qb going forward.

I did some research on this because I really thought I was right, but it looks like in the last 5 or so years way more first round lineman have flamed out and it has been way more of a crap shoot. Good call.

I mean, he probably has as good of a shot as anyone else to be a decent lineman. I don't know but we'll see. I do agree that I don't want him to get Wentz killed, but the other o-linemen helped in the second half almost killing Wentz.

Pederson needs to run the ball more, get back to the screens, slants, quick outs and all that nonsense.

Teams are going to stack the box...but then that's the Wideouts and we know what we have with them. Not much.

Although..it was a shame that smallwood got call for pushing the back of the guys arm on that DGB catch and run. He stiff-armed the sh!t out of that DB for the redskins.

DGB is an enigma to me. I guess he's just lazy. Guy should be a dominant receiver. I guess you get what you pay (or trade) for.

If he keeps giving up free runs to Wentz...

fuck seeing what he can do. You're exactly right. This season at the beginning was about developing Wentz and not worrying too much about Ws and Ls. If this shit keeps up, it's right back to that but please, Doug, don't get the kid killed. I know that Aikman came back from a rookie season in which he was just hammered constantly. But that's no reason to let that happen to CW if it can be avoided.

Thing is I am not sure Barbre played that well at tackle before. He has been playing very well at guard this year.

There are no good options here, IMO. It's not good to shuffle the OL around too much midseason. But as of last week it became the weakest unit on the team.

I'll defer to Gomer's judgement for now, since I don't get to see practice. But I reserve the right to rip him later.

If you want to ask me what to do, I say start V this week with a gameplan designed to make things easier for him. If he really sucks again then make the change.

Why didn't they try to start the game last Sunday by running the ball? You knew the foreskin DL was going to be salivating about going after the QB. At least get him into the game without putting him in a bad spot.

I'm starting to get concerned that Gomer has a little too much of that FF "I know that they think that I think ..." bullshit ... leading to calls that don't fool anyone when he should be playing the percentages.

I'm going to guess that pederson probably thinks about some high % throws early to get Carson's confidence and rhythm going early. Problem is that it backfired.
