Streaming the game isn't included in the ratings.

With all of the cable cutting and the like, how many people just stream the games and watch them on their 24" or larger PC monitors, tablets or other devices? A shitload.
John Erlichman, one of President Richard Nixon's closest aides, has admitted America's "War on Drugs" was a hoax designed to vilify and disrupt "the antiwar left and black people" when it was launched in 1971.

Problem for the NFL is what happens when a generation of kids who never got to go to a game in person because tickets are too expensive grow up. We may be seeing the start of that now.
It's also a generation of young people who care more about their Fantasy Football teams and less about the actual games itself.

When a hand brushes a qb's helmet because a guy is trying to rush the passer with his hands up, or is taller than the qb and makes contact with the helmet as he sacks him ... that shit drives me nuts.

And I've been saying for a long time that full contact down the field until the ball is in the air should be reinstated ... no grabbing ... but incidental contact that is called illegal contact is fucking horseshit.

I cannot watch an NFL game without looking for a flag on every big play or any incompletion.

And that's what is killing the game ... Kapernick will blow over ... that shit won't.
All of this. And if you're going to call holding penalties you have to do it from the onset of the game. Keep both lines honest. You don't get to ignore multi penalties broadcast on national TV then call a random hold that negates other shit in the 3rd quarter.

One thing that is for sure is that the five yard contact rule has absolutely nothing to do with concussions.

How are they streaming the games ... illegal sites?

You think that's a big number?

                  Over-saturation is definitely a factor

                  ... and happy birthday.

I streamed the last two games... But I paid for them.

Don't know if that gets counted in the ratings. One would think that a viewer paying for games is worth more than on watching over the air.

I don't know for a fact, but I would think they're tracking legal streaming of the NFL.

Neilsen is now tracking streamed entertainment.

The first episode of the fourth season of 'Orange Is The New Black' was watched by 6.7 million viewers stateside the weekend of its release.

For me it's the refs as said before in this thread. Officiating is so shitty in the NFL and no one impacts the games more in any sports that aren't playing than NFL officials..... The past two weeks have been fucking atrocities on the officiating front. Over 110+ yards in penalties in each game...... Just inconsistent calls. Blatant missed block in the backs on the Foreskins and then Sproles gets a pansy ass one on a 60 yard play. Just a shitty product it's becoming.

                          No. They don't.

At least not for the purposes of advertising dollars and Nielson ratings and the like.

Whoever is streaming from NFL.com or on a Slingbox or other streaming service that has network broadcasts, I'm pretty fucking sure they are measuring.
