Today they introduced the defense. And the defense played great.

I think it's a good way to get both the players and the crowd fired up. Also a little perk for the guys who have earned the start.

Agreed. The individual introductions help the team develop a personality. Dawkins' Weapon X routines were such a cool part of that era.
