Violence at NFL games
This article tries to portray Philadelphia fans as a problem, but I really don't see it. Security is pretty tight at Eagles games now. It's not like the days of the Vet. They take care of shit when it happens in the lower deck at least.
I will admit there was one incident I saw in the Linc a few years ago which was pretty disturbing. Jets vs. Eagles, Raptoe was with me for the game.
There was an argument where the Jets fan was taunting the Eagles fan. The taunting continued to the point where it got physical. The guy asked for it and was provoking the situation verbally and physically. Then the Eagles fan just basically knocked the guy out with a couple of punches to the head. And this was a non rivalry game! It is a perfect example of the situation the NFL should be trying to prevent. It makes no sense.

I think part of the problem is people recording fights on their damn smart phones instead of trying to break them up. I've seen more fight videos on different FB pages than I care to remember showing kids beating the holy hell out of each other in school. Where's someone breaking up the fight? They all stand around video recording it. Fights are nothing new, but once upon a time after a punch or two, people would step in to break it up. These days you have hot head tough guys going to games just looking for trouble, trying to push people's buttons, knowing that they'll get their 15 seconds of fame on some website on the internet beating the shit out of someone. But the security at the Linc is definitely tight. My girlfriend, brother and I were at the Vikes game - couldn't make it in time for the gayte that morning - and sat near a couple of guys that started yapping back and forth. Security was there in an instant to break it up, and they weren't further away than ten feet up the aisle for the rest of the game. The infographic in the article was interesting, with the map of the stadiums and the arrests made over the last 4-5 years. Philly isn't even in the top seven. It's just the recycled, tired stories of the jail at the Vet and the snowballs thing that keeps the reputation going."You on the other hand, describe your shit so many times and revel in how glorious or strange it looks that there is absolutely no doubt you most definitely DO have a shit fetish." - Kelly Green
Jim Lahey is a drunk bastard.

I'll be there along with my cousins. There will be about a dozen of us. We will be tailgating in lot "silver 12". Should be there around 3. I'll have an Eagles jersey on with number "1". Don't worry about being incognito. Cowboy fans tend to be friendly. That's what happens when they are brain damaged

Eventually the NFL is going to have to ban alcohol sales all together. Which is a shame for most of us who can handle our booze.

The Linc is not nearly as "dangerous" for opposing fans as some of the other stadiums I've been to (Foreskins, Ravens, Jets). I actually saw nothing but love for Browns and Stiller fans this year, likely because the Eagles were doing so well.
