Howie is the GM. Doug is the coach. Not that difficult to understand.
So Doug says "Josh will start on Sunday", the next day Howie says "we are releasing Josh Huff and we, including coach, unanimously agreed on it". I guess Doug had a change of heart? Doug is a weak, push-over, rookie head coach that Howie is going to have his way with.

That would change things a bit

Huff has been sent packing. I don't really care how we got to this point. I view this as an occasion for nothing but hosannas

          I just think it's sad

that they left Doug out to dry.

Well that's their usual MO to not know how to handle these decisions without looking like dolts.

More or less. Same as any rookie head coach without a resume. Particularly when it comes to non-football decisions involving the organization's image. No one has claimed differently. When I see Howie on the sidelines changing plays, then I have a problem.

Pedey was trying to be open with the press and got burned. That won't last. He'll learn to protect himself.

But he did say it was a day to day situation. That turned out to be correct.

                Good riddance to Huff.

At least Howie did the press conference. Probably because Doug hasn't quite figured those out yet.

Are you going to bring up irrelevancy every time Pederson is criticized?
Obscenity is the last refuge of an inarticulate motherfucker.

Are you going to rip Pederson in every post you make? You brought up Chump.

Do you honestly think Pederson expects roster control or pushed to keep Huff? Anyone with a brain knows Howie and Jeffy made that call.

I doubt anybody was happy about it. But it was the right call made within 48 hours. What's with all the whining?

So he's off the payroll? Under misconduct rules in most NFL contracts?

Then they should have told him to defer questions...

about Huff until they had a decision made.

Instead, they come off as ass hats once again.

I agree. But they're trying to be more open and Pedey isn't a slicky boy. Obviously that's not going to work with the Philly media who are looking for maximum clicks in a crowded market.

I'm more interested in getting skill position talent.

If Huff was my team mate, I'd think he screwed himself.

Crazy thing is, they had the police report before Doug went out for questions.

I'm sure they wanted to cross their t's and dot their i's. Until then he was on the team. Unfortunately Doug is a bit naive dealing with the media. Hasn't learned the art of the non-answer yet.
