Right. Embiid could be special. Simmons may be even more special. I have no problem with a short leash, but to can the guy before he even gets a chance to develop Simmons would be a mistake, IMO. I know it's a business, but I feel like he has earned the opportunity given what he has had to coach up the last few seasons.

Will they have one on the team? Sure. But a lights out shooter at the other guard spot is really what they need. I wonder if Andrew Toney wants to unretire.
It's not...but LeBron is very close to what magic was and has played with point guards. Not saying Simmons can't play point forward...but they do need that guard who can play the point.

Cooney was on WIP this morning noting that at the end of game Brown was trying to go offense/defense with Sergio and McConnell. Pretty much sums it up. I have zero expectation as far as wins until Simmons and Bayless can play. I'm pleased that they've even been in a position to win a lot of games.

Second half of the season, my expectation is that they begin to win some of these. If not, then I think it is reasonable to start discussing Brown's future.

I only caught the second half last night. Hollis Thompson might be my least likable player I have ever watched from a playing stand point but he actually has been playing well and he should have been in the game towards the end. As for the loss, Henderson bailed them out to go up by two because that last possession was almost a disaster with not even being able to get a shot up. Sixers' inability to defend at the PG position will continue to haunt them. Indiana ran that same set with Paul George setting the high ball screen for Teague. Sixers would switch and it would instantly put the 76ers in a disadvantage. Sergio and TJ are far too incapable of guarding any position other than PG (they can't even guard any 1s either).
