  • Birds bar watch in Norfolk/Chesapeake?

My Sis is at the Naval hospital recovering from surgery and I'm here for the next week looking after my nieces. First time I've been down during a football season. Looking for a place to catch the game Sunday. Any recommendations?

I haven't run into any real Philadelphia sports bar crews down here, but you run into Eagles fans at any sports bar on a Sunday.

Downtown Norfolk you have AJ Gators and Baxters (walking distance from each other), or at the Chesapeake/VA Beach border you have another AJ Gators. Nothing special, TVs, Beer, Bar Food.

I usually stick to the VB oceanfront: Calypso, Taphouse (good beer,) CHIX, (haven't been there this year, but apparently its nicer) or Baja Cantina (the last smoky dive bar in VB, good food, BUT they have a big foreskinner crowd and their game is at the same time this Sunday)

And if all fails, you could always do BWW, but why would you?

      Thanks AE.

Rolled past a sign for Eagles Nest getting groceries after I posted this. They're using the birds lettering and colors on the sign so... I dunno, may take a drive tomorrow and check a few of these shindigs.

97.3 the Eagle is a local country radio station, and they either own or manage the two Eagles Nest Rockin' Country Bars, in Chesapeake and VB.

I can tell you that there isn't much I've found. I usually end up at Buffalo Wild Wings in Suffolk. Half the time I can convince them to use sound for the eagles game. Usually 5-10 other eagles fans in there
