  • How about that anti Ref chant?

My guess is Fox turned the volume down on that for the folks watching at home.

didn't hear it on the broadcoast. the segment of non-PI call on sproles and non-roughness call on matthews was outrageous.

I thought the crowd was about to storm the field.

The Linc sounded loud on TV. Even the announcers talked about it. Good to see some life back in that place.

Although I believe Gomer did a nice job working the refs ... I also think the crowd was involved in the rise in favorable flags at the end of that game.

The reaction to the video of that hit to Matthews head was really fucking loud.

I said to IE after the game, I think the league directed the refs to let is go a little this week because of the bad publicity about too many penalties.

However, although I generally approve of letting players play, obvious fouls still need to be flagged.

Quantity isn't the issue as much as quality ... letting clear penalties go while calling marginal ones is horseshit.

Which one? Gomer/crowd influence or league influence?

League influence. As Ellsworth said, the games were actually watchable yesterday.
