What's the NFLPA's stand on this horrible officiating?

With the exception of voicing concern when a particular player is injured (I.e.- Cam Newton recently), why haven't we heard more from the NFLPA on the inconsistent and often ridiculous officiating?

I would think that they would be interested in both protecting players (Matthews' head shot!) and the long-term viability of the game...
