The 4th string RT gets beat for a strip sack and you're on third long snapper of the game.
Sproles goes down, Smallwood goes down, that leaves Mathews and you just have to hope he can stay healthy to finish the game.
Add all this together, throw in a few stupid penalties, a drop or two, failing to drag the toes, and standing around telling the refs the pass was incomplete while the WR recovers his own fumble and it is a recipe for exactly what happened today and happens far too often even when they are healthy.
