  • This might be an interesting option for Phila sports fans out of the area.

From this article, it's unclear for me if CSN Philadelphia will be offered outside of the Phila. area with this offering.

But if CSN Phila. is offered I would consider it. This service seems to be about space shifting.

The one thing that is lacking is ESPN, but I hate ESPN in general. The soccer offerings and other channels would be fantastic!

Sounds like it will end up being $50 a month. That's not cheap cord cutting wise but if I can watch Phila. hometown sports out of area it is worth it. I could cut my MLB.tv sub if this article is true. But MLB.tv offers on demand replays and out of market games.

I wonder if that also includes CSNBC.

There's some decent sports programming on that as well.

For $50/month, it almost makes more sense to go with the MLB/NBA/NHL streaming options. No analysis that way, but all the games.

I thought about that, but I would counter that that for me the opportunity to watch Spanish fútbol and CSN post game stuff might sway me in favor of this. I have MLB TV but honestly do not watch many other games than the Phils. Maybe if somebody pitches a perfect game or something like that.

They are offering a lot, but bottom line for me is there is only so much sports I can be watching in a day. I have a life. $50 a month is lot to spend.

I'd like to have a true PPV service where you were charged by the hour or by the program you were watching. I'll bet I have my TV on 15 hours or less per week.

The other thing is MLB and NHL are incredibly economical. NHL is only $100, I think. I'm going to make a real effor with futbol when the MLS team gets to Stl. I appreciate it when it's on, but I just don't seek it out.
