Obviously, he's not technically wrong. Hinkie drafted all of them. But Colangelo had all summer to make a deal. Didn't do anything. It's his job to figure it out. How does he like having Embiid, Simmons and Saric?

Just seems kind of slimy to take a shot at the guy you replaced 8 months after the fact. Kind of Howie-esque.

Well, if you ask me Stinkie is responsible and was held accountable. Colangelo could only play with the cards he was dealt with. Fortunately Embiid appears to be healthy for the time being.

Totally true but my point is that he didn't play his cards. Okafor, particularly, had more value over the summer. Hinkie didn't make him do nothing. Hinkie's gone. More than that though, I just think it's a weak thing to say.

It sounds like I must of have missed something here. Did Coangelo take a direct shot at Hinkie for the current situation? If so, that's just bad form.

Yeah, he said it was "due to decisions that were made before I got here." Again, he's not wrong, but I just think it's kind of weak.

Agree with McCarthy....Hinkie's decisions also got him Embiid, Ben Simmons, Saric, the Lakers pick, a swap right with an awful Sacramento team and a future first from an awful Sacramento team. Boo hoo...I have too many centers and am afraid to trade one because I might get criticized. (That being said...major props to Colangelo for the Jerami Grant-Ersan Ilyasova trade).

I'm okay with moving away from Hinkie, although I'm a process fan, but Lil Colangelo doesn't have any rings either and is going to roll this dime situation into cap hell in a few years.

Also, Embiid, Saric, Simmons and probably 2 top five picks next summer.

Unfortunately I don't think the Lakers will be a bottom-5 team this year. I'd be happy with top-10 though.
