  • Tom Brady's most fervent hope

Why is it that Tom Brady wants to play forever? Because he wants to outlast the day that Belicheat retires. Because if Brady retires before Belicheat, Belicheat will take whatever third round QB he has on the roster and win another Super Bowl. Doesn't matter who it is. Look at the games when Brady was hurt or out for the season. Guys step in to his system, Cassel, Garrofolo, whoever, and they win.

So if Brady retires and Belicheat is still there, Brady knows people will look at his record differently. They'll say, "Hmm, maybe Tom isn't the GOAT. Maybe it's the system. That Montana guy is still the GOAT."

Brady won't be able to stand that. So that's why he wants to play forever. To outlast his coach..

    I can buy that
500 internet fights, that's the number I figured when I first joined igglephans. 500 internet fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate internet-tough guy. You need them for experience, to develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then...after...you realize that's what you are.
