Paul Domowich failed to persuade the voters for Dawkins HOF bid
According to a Peter King's MMQB article ( actually Peter King didn't write it to avoid a voter conflict) Ira Kaufman from Tampa was instrumental in getting Sapp voted over Strahan a few years back. Strahan had the votes going in, but Ira tipped the scale. There is also known situations of bloc voting.
It's fair to wonder why Domowitch wasn't able to make a case for a guy with some much credentials. Did he do the necessary work behind the scenes like other writers do? Does he have the presentation skills like Ira apparently does?
It's far to question whether Domowitch failed here.

Domowitch was early to tweet a quote regarding Dawkins disappointment
but as of yet, I haven't seen any journalistic insight from him regarding the process. Hell, Rich Fuckin Gosellin gave more insight so far... and maybe lack of effort thus far is telling

Based on lazy journalistic efforts I have seen in general regarding the Philadelphia media over the years, I admit I'll be the first to question whether enough effort was made on his part. Ira Kaufman isn't from a national news outlet, he's got to work harder and Sapp can thank him for having to work hard on his behalf.
Domowitch? Let's hear from him. It's been 24 hours and other clowns without any stake have already mention some fuckin insight from yesterday's vote.
Edit to add: But thanks Domowitch for quoting Dawkins comment that he was not going to lie... he was disappointed. You were the first to present that to the world on tweeter. You certainly won that yesterday.

brought a knife to a gun fight?
Half-joking-I see him bringing a stack of black and white photocopies of some old print articles while Kaufman may have had a Prezi with "Wind Beneath My Wings" playing over it for Sapp.
Here's the article from MMQB that I mentioned to IE.
Until I hear substance from Domowitch about what went wrong, you will be hearing from me on this board. Part of the beauty of the board is to hold Spadaro, and now Domowitch, accountable.

and according to Rich Gosselin, a committee voter, the selection committee spent more time discussing Jones, Tagliabue and TO.
Pathetic.
I want to know what the Crypy Keeper did to get in, he is an owner and has no business in the hall of fame, it's not like his family owned the team for 50 years and did so much for the NFL he does everything for himself.
It's fair to hold Paul Domowitch accountable for an explanation.
An Eagles player with Dawkins resume doesn't come up for HOF consideration often and Paul Domowitch should have been sowing the seeds for his first ballot induction long before yesterday.
If the committee voters can't be persuaded to vote for Dawkins over Anderson, then why is Paul Domowitch serving on the committee? Lets call it out here. He blew it. He blew it for Dawkins. He blew it for the Eagles organization. He blew it for the fans.
He's not the reporter for this story, he is the story...
