Yea no chance. No reason for him to play as well.

I bet Embiid will be sat as well. It's such a shame because this team (players and coaches) have fought so hard this season.

That would be a bad move, IMO. I get that you have to do what is best for the team in the long run, but the city has fallen in love with Embiid. And he wants to play - he'll be pissed if the shelf him simply out of an abundance of caution. It wouldn't be fair to Embiid, wouldn't be fair to the other players, who, as you said, have really gelled and obviously look to Embiid as a leader and it wouldn't be fair to the fans who continue to pack the arena for a sub-500 team.

I'm not sure what BC is doing. I don't understand removing Okafor from the team while you kind of sort of try to trade him. The deception around Embiid's injury. It's all troubling.

But Simmons should be 100% by now as well. The whole situation is a disaster.

The current management team at the Sixers are just very comfortable and pathological liars. Their complete disingenuousness about Embiid overshadowed their complete disengenousness about Simmons which overshadowed their complete disingenuousness about Okafor.

let's not keep it to current though. Hinkie said, "embiid's foot is fine" and then second surgery.

like all front office...they are all liars.

This is why I'm beginning to believe Embiid is done for the season. I hope I'm wrong.

With Simmons, I'm more bummed personally that he won't be playing when I go see them in March. I guess if they want to hold him out at this point, what difference does it make? I'd rather be certain he will be healthy for next season.

But a little more transparency with Embiid would go a long way. He's out, then he plays, then he's out, then he's dancing onstage, then he's hurt even worse. Just tell us what the problem is. Makes them look incompetent.

So every number one pick is going to be a red shirt now? Simmons has not played that much basketball so missing a full season has got to set him back.

                          Like it set Embiid back?
John Erlichman, one of President Richard Nixon's closest aides, has admitted America's "War on Drugs" was a hoax designed to vilify and disrupt "the antiwar left and black people" when it was launched in 1971.

I think he is so incredibly talented that it won't matter from a skill/production standpoint. Just stinks for the fans.
