If, big IF, boy wonder can pull off draft picks this year for Kelce, Barwin, Kendricks, and Daniels that would be extremely impressive. Does he have it in him?
They could package a few of those and move up to draft CB/OL/LB assuming the 1st pick is a WR.
How much cap space would moving all 4 of them save?

3RD Rounder?
really? did not think there was that much of a market for the guy,,I'm not sure about his cap hit if you could trade him; take anything for him,,Give DJ the money and his No back!
Fuc at this point I was thinking they just might cut him,,once again that cap hit might not be worth it. 8 mill in dead money,,,WTF! Howie...8 mill $ clip board holder!OFFICIAL BOARD DRUG CZAR

It wouldn't shock me if someone went as high as a 2nd rounder for Daniel. I'm not banking on it happening, but it's not all that out of line with the established market value for similar QBs.
I'm pretty sure Howie would love to get his hands on multiple 2nd round picks. This is the kind of draft where you'd love to be able to stockpile 2nd and 3rd rounders.

I agree with ya there Unpredictable
maybe that kid from NE might garner a 2nd rounder,,Bradford was a No1 overall and carries a certain Value to him,,,this Guy Chase I dunno, think we would be lucky to get 5th rounder for the guy,,as long as that eases the dead money Hit,,would help tremendously.OFFICIAL BOARD DRUG CZAR

On the other hand, this draft is supposed to be particularly weak at QB... part of the reason the Eagles maneuvered to draft Wentz last year.
I think the best move for the Eagles might be to wait until the preseason and hope some team loses their QB to injury and is desperate... like Minnesota last year. But if the right deal presents itself now of course you go for it.--------

I don't think Howie moves Daniel for anything less than a 3rd. He still has value for the team, even on that contract (which, while high for a backup, is a relative bargain for a starter... which only adds to his value). Since the Eagles don't *have* to trade him and haven't made any intention of trading him known to the media, they would have all of the leverage if some team/teams come knocking on their door.
And again, don't get me wrong, I'm not predicting it happens. I'm putting this scenario firmly in the wildcard surprise possibility category (one that I'd love to see happen).

Feeley's case was different
Feeley had played 5-6 games in relief of McNabb and won 5 of those games. The 6th, at the Giants, went to overtime. He was the 3rd string QB, taking over for Koy Detmer after his injury in the 49ers game, and also in his 3rd year. So he had youth and a very low contract going for him. Of course, the Eagles defense at that time was dominant, a good o-line, and they had all 3 running backs in Staley, Buckhalter, and a rookie Westbrook. All of which meant he had full support and was unfortunately unable to carry a team on his own. Feeley was able to play well in his limited preseason stints too, which enhanced his value.
Daniels is unproven and hasn't played much in relief. He's older and has less value. I agree they don't get rid of him for less than a 4th, but this will be his last season with the team.
