Pretty all the picks to get Wentz was recouped with exceptional of next year's number 2 pick
I think a loss of the 2 next year will hurt at the time they are missing it, but there is still gonna be plenty of time to recoup something like that pick.
Also, interesting to note that the pundits are all hating the QB choices this year.
The Bradford trade was the key in making the Wentz deal a success, IMO. Howie stepped in sh*t.
Things could have turned out a lot differently. Now we have a decent NFL prospect with a year's starting experience under his belt plus a mid round first round pick this year. Fantastic!

But the Bradford trade was the cherry to Howie's work last year.
Note: the 4th round compensatory pick (139th) is a 6 position improvement from the 5th that was guaranteed in the trade

The Rowe pick has a very good chance of being a 3rd rounder. Especially with Logan Ryan expected to leave via FA (hopefully to Philly).
That'll soften the blow of the missing 2nd a little bit.
Maybe one day the light bulb will go off and this team will realize they can earn compensatory picks themselves by not overpaying in free agency and letting their marginal players walk.

If they sign Jeffrey and (if rumors are true) a soon-to-be-free agent Jamaal Charles, and only lose Logan, they won't get any next year, either.
They're also in a bad cycle of having guys like Kelce, Barwin, and Kendricks (and probably more from previous years) who have years left on their deals and will get cut before actually becoming free agents.
