I Became A Fan When He Was In "Apollo 13"
He was great as Lunar Module Pilot Fred Haise, but the performance he gave as Randall McCoy in the "Hatfields and McCoys"mini-series was excellent. I thought he was robbed when he didn't get the Emmy for it.
Rest In Peace, good sir."If I owned Texas and Hell, I'd rent out Texas and live in Hell!"

Weird Science
Aliens
Apollo 13
Tombstone
He kicked ass in these roles.500 internet fights, that's the number I figured when I first joined igglephans. 500 internet fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate internet-tough guy. You need them for experience, to develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then...after...you realize that's what you are.

Chet is all I see when Bill is on screen....must've watched Weird Science over 40 times
Fantastic roles throughout his career but he'll forever be Chet to me, though his bit as a used car salesman in True Lies was right up there with his best. Perhaps his best line may be the one in Aliens..."Why don't we just put her in charge" regarding the little girl Newt lol
Greatest movie bully ever.

Such a kick in the nads loss...totally stunned when I heard the news yesterday.
He was also in Titanic, Twister and was the central character in Big Love.
It was also kinda comical to see how on-edge he was in Ghosts of the Abyss when he took advantage of James Cameron's offer to go down to the sunken vessel in one of those mini-subs in '01.
He'll be missed...one of my faves.
