I'm actually thinking we might not sign anyone...

...by choice (lack of cap, poor selection) than out of being stupid.

I think we become Day2 and later day players.....gathering picks from trades and reinforcing things like LB and OL.

It would certainly open up things for next year FA period.

The more I look at our Cap situation

that makes the most sense,,always a guy or 2 who lingers and the market dries up..

They're competing with the Browns. Let that sink in.

You know who usually plays it this way? The consistently good teams.

Sure, every once in a while the Steelers or Packers might make a splash in free agency, but more often than not, they draft well and just fill out their roster with low risk signings.

Now, if only the Eagles could draft well....

Wouldn't that be a Frank Gore?

so does this make us the favorites to sign pryor?

neither is the long-term solution at WR, but we have to go BPA in the draft. if this means we don't go WR in rounds 1-3, i guess either britt or pryor would be an improvement over what we had last year.

Well Bentley left "us" at the altar for the Browns.

That's the infamous mark eckel "BY THE TIME YOU READ THIS" headline. He's still douchey errrr touchey about that. He blocked me on twitter a couple years ago for bringing it up (and I was right on a draft pick after the fact. Suck it, Eckel)

I remember. Forgot it was the Browns. That was pre legal tampering, so this is sort of a cross between Bentley and Gore. If there was ever any smoke here to begin with.

This is fine, too. He was a complementary piece. Nothing more.

Just heard on Sirius that Eagles were never really in on Britt. So Browns may have competed against themselves.

That was a lot of money they gave him, too. I didn't think he was going to command that. Glad Eagles didn't sign him for that.
