  • Why is the NFL off-season so entertaining?

This stuff is almost as much of a draw as the games themselves. I admit, I totally geek out on this shit.

There's just something fascinating about the way these teams come together. I guess it's true for all sports, but the NFL draft so much more impactful and interesting than the other sports (the NBA draft is impactful, but for about 15 picks, then it's like Day 3 of the NFL draft). It's all a big multi-million dollar puzzle/chess match. The guessing and fantasy element of it all is totally addicting.

This stuff is a huge part of why the NFL is such a gold mine. It's fascinating how it's evolved over the years. They've done a masterful job of making a show of it.

I think a big part of it that teams can jump from loser to contender in the NFL much more quickly than in other sports.

Truth is somewhere in between. The Osweiler trade was a total WTF move, and our moves at WR were pretty important.

But any time the Eagles stand pat people act like they lost a game, and skill position signings are way overhyped. I used to be into the draft, but guys will get drafted where they get drafted, and most teams probably have players similarly rated.
