Gotta admit, I haven't been this optimistic about an Eagles draft class in a while

Love the Sidney Jones pick, Barnett was just as productive as Myles Garrett in the SEC, maybe even a little more. Douglas looks like a tough, physical corner, pretty intrigued by the DT from Washington. I think they really had a solid draft. Obviously, we'll have to wait and see, but I feel good about the picks.

Runningback is still a question mark, but I think they just got beaten to the punch on some of the guys they were targeting.

I also think Pedo has shown that he can make 3 backup RBs almost as productive as Charles. That is, until the playoffs come and you need a stud. Then they fall pretty flat.

My opinion always is that the draft is a crapshoot and the Eagles usually lose the crapshoot.

Having said that, I see no super obvious reaches this year. Usually the Eagles are good for one or two of them and usually those reaches are disappointments or disasters.

I'd like to say that, unlike past drafts, there is nothing here that screams they think they are smarter than everyone else, but it remains to be seen with Sidney Jones.

Understood. But I view that pick as a calculated risk. It most certainly could blow up. But it's not a reach like Twatkins or Mucus.

I agree he's a football player unlike those bums. I just hope he isn't the next winner of the Chris T. Jones/Andy Harmon/Jamie Asher Memorial Award for Eagles who get injured and are never heard from again.

Every time I hear Chris T's name, I wince a little bit. That one royally sucked.

That's the thing that scares me a little, is pinkston had the same injury and he sucked even more when healed.

.....hope he has a longer stay in Philly.

Going to be fun to see how he is used.

I hope one day we have some gems from late rounds. Or we have almost 90% of guys make the team.

There is nobody they drafted that I'm dying to see hit the field. All around good solid draft tho.
