Name a RB in recent NFL history with those measurements that was a success. The closest player I can come up with is Dexter McCluster at 5'8" and 170 pounds. I wouldn't call him a success story, though.

RB Jamaal Williams seemed like the logical and direct choice to me. I hope this works out, but I am reminded of past drafts after this selection.

I wouldn't bring up the Ryan Moats instead of Sproles selection. What a fuckin' cute move that was...

Well, he was a late round pick. He'll be a role player, but he's not going to carry the load. It's going to be another season of a weak RB committee.

Warrick Dunn was the same size when he was drafted.

Warrick Dunn. Size is definitely the concern with Pumphrey but it didn't affect him in college at all. For a 4th rounder, I am pretty happy with this pick.

            Dunn was 20 years ago

... and yet he still had a much thicker muscle frame coming out of college. Pumphrey is build like Desean Jackson (5'10, 176). Could anyone imagine DJax at RB?

Dunn was the 12 pick in the draft and what separates Pumphrey from Dunn? Probably their body types.

with the all the backs that were there, and what we have on the Roster

its a head scratcher thats for sure,,,if the kid turn into the best return man since Brian Mitchell then I'll say Ok!

Williams can't catch shit.. And they need rb that can catch and run in space.

To be fair, the Eagles had to make tough choices in order to grab a quality RB. They decided to take a DE and two CB's in the first three rounds. I'm I'm good with that. Teams will cut quality RBs. Its really not my biggest concern

Well that's Aaron Rodgers problem then.

I'm actually pretty high on him. He has elite vision and he sets up his blocks really well.

I know the vast majority of small backs coming into the NFL haven't worked out but how many posted his level of production coming in? They could've done worse in the 4th round...
