    Sounds like they offered to do a cap-friendly restructuring and have him take a cut, and he refused. The team's statement suggested that if he can't get what he wants elsewhere, they'd take him back at a lower salary.

          Speculation is they may try to make a move for a CB and are freeing up cap space in anticipation of the move.
