Neshek, Hellickson and Kendrick...maybe one of the several prospects will pan out. I think this off season the FO will fork over some cash to a nice FA.

They picked up Neshek and Kendrick in the off season for the specific purpose of hoping they'd have good 1/2 seasons and bring back prospects ... and they did.

They paid Hellickson, hoping the same thing.

None of those guys were in their long range plans.

Got a couple lottery ticket type players. Mack is an intriguing arm from the Kendrick deal. They also effectively got PTBNLs in the form of extra internationals signing cash, where the Phils have less competitors at getting some very good but raw international players.
