You know it! Took the day off work, and a group of friends is headed to a brewery with a field out back.

If I lived where you do I would be doing the same thing. Once in a lifetime experience to have it so close to where you are. Just pray for cloudless weather.

I'm heading to Charleston for it. SW flights have been booked for weeks and hotels are outrageous. I lucky have family there. I'm almost as intrigued by the social impact with traffic and temporary migration as with the eclipse itself.

Will be in Florida, so planning to drive to Columbia, SC

Watch the eclipse during a mountain bike ride in a state park there. Assuming it will be clear.

Did you see the recent "failing NY Times" piece on the engineers still working on the Voyager probes project? An excellent article, IMO.

If you haven't, check it out.

                  They call it "Pittsburgh."

I think I can drive up to Casper to see it get dark. Or just wait until that evening and watch it get dark right here in my own back yard.

I've got my glasses and shall watch it from near MacKay, Idaho.
I am curious about how many other people will be in the middle of nowhere to watch it.
