Sometimes a circus allows the other players to be out of the spotlight (T.O.-in spotlight; McNabb-out).

Money would be the big issue. Foles is only $1.6 million against the cap this season (according to Spotrac) and the team has about $12 million in space. They would probably like to save that for off-season extensions, etc.

Cutting Foles is not an option (big cap hit), but IR could be (with designation to return?).

One other thing: they'd probably wait until week 2 to sign Kap because veteran contracts aren't guaranteed when signed after Week 1.
