It makes sense for the east coast to evacuate because they are potentially in the direct path.
If Irma goes through the Straight of Florida I will go inland because it will be in the Gulf at full strength. Otherwise, it's safer at home if you are not in the direct path than on the roads.Comment

Good luck. We just cancelled the Hurricane/ Eagles party on Sunday due to unforeseen circumstances.
- With the storms trajectory, it's wise that all Floridian get away from water and stay put or seek shelter nearby. The roads are dangerous. First time I'll probably miss an Eagles game in 30 years. Another reason to drink.Comment
