I thought Cook was available in the second (even though many on here thought he'd be long gone by then)? Once again, I have no problem putting these statements out there so I can be proved wrong later. Why not? There's nothing wrong with calling it the way I see it.

If I sound so negative towards this team, I may actually have a point since they haven't won anything in decades. On a positive note, the Phillies and Sixers are trending in the right direction.

Wentz needs an RB right now. To only come out of that draft with fucking donnell pumphrey is unforgivable in my books.

I'm not pissed at you Snake but as far as I can pay attention you will find a way to knock whatever move is made. Weren't you crying for them to tank and draft an early 1st rd QB for years? I guess now that they've done that we've moved on to grading the draft after 1 week of play.

and it's low cost, so maybe the kid can bulk up and get faster, but he's not a 1st round pick, so the optics of a cut aren't as difficult. Bryan Smith was a 3r rounder and got cut at the end of TC.

So everyone is angry they missed by two picks but ended up with a potential cornerstone DB instead? A guy (yeah I know he is injured) who was supposed to be a top 10 or top 5 talent.. Don't forget.. there was a reason Cook slipped as far as he did.. As I recall there were a ton of character issues.

I get the frustration and all but I think we have to wait and see how this all plays out.

                  It's not just Cook.

cook was gone by the time the eagles picked in the 2nd round. i'm sure that if the eagles had traded up into the 40s to pick an RB you would have been just fine with it, despite the fact that guys like jordan howard can be found in the 5th round.

It would have cost them a fourth rounder to move up a few spots. They took Chumphrey with that pick instead. There are several running backs from this draft already contributing (I can think of 8 of them off the top of my head). They had a chance to grab a player that dropped down the draft board that fit their scheme and they choked. Howie doesn't know how to find a Jordan Howard. He deserves to get criticized for this.

Here is my hot take: what difference does it make who you have at RB if Gomer prefers to pass, pass pass?

The running back will be for the next coach.

I agree with this, and it makes me sad because it proves my old theories correct. Remember when I said the further away you live, the more you fluff? Well, it's been 9 years for me and I'm all sunshine and playoff appearances.
