This is our reality now as TU alumni and fans. Find a coach. Have him "struggle" his first year with kids that aren't his. Play better his second year. Really compete in the AAC his third year with his recruiting classes contributing. REALLY REALLY compete in the AAC (or win it) his 4th year with his recruiting classes in their prime. Watch him go to a big program. Rinse and repeat.
Better than being the laughingstock of D1A football we once were.
Not for nothing, but, two years ago, when we had the team that beat PSU, almost knocked off the Irish and lost to HOU in the AAC title game (8 players on that team are now in the NFL) we only beat UMass 25-23 on a last second FG. UMass gives us issues in basketball and football, no matter what. Hate playing them because we always struggle with them and it doesn't matter what the talent level of either team is.
