They ask him why he wasn't running more and he gave an answer that was, frankly, gibberish.

So when I got back to Long Island, I went on the CSN Philly website and listened to the answer again.

Yep ... gibberish.

He said some shit about not ever wanting to throw that many times and to have more of a balance (fine so far)

Then he said "you know the run game's a part of that" (no fucking shit Gomer, the run game is part of being balanced ... who knew?)

Then he said the situation late in the game dictates what you do (do you mean a game you're not behind in, Doug? ... the tie game you were in?)

Then he said: "Do I want him to drop back that many times? No ... but I have to look at the "whole pie" and I thought our defense was playing great throughout the game ... and, umm, you know, focusing in on the run game will really help us get more balance

What I refuse to accept is a 80/20 pass/run ratio, not feeding Blount the ball 12-15x a game to open up passing game, and the guys they passed on to take Sidney jones and Pumphrey.

This is nit picking. If Sproles doesn't fumble and Wentz can throw a ball away, it's probably a win. Can't turn the ball over on the road against good teams and the best YPC RB was the same guy who fumbled the ball.

They passed on Mixon and Kamara to take Jones. And Kamara slipped all the way to the 3rd. Cook was already gone. If he hadn't been, there's a decent chance they take him.

I can't kill Howie for taking Sidney. He's a tantalizing prospect at one of the most difficult positions to fill, which was also a critical need. They could have jumped up to get Cook, but they didn't know who they were trying to get in front of at the time (the Vikings had shown a lot of interest in Mixon).
