Do these "consultants" really do anything? It just seems like a cushy job as a favor to a good dude and a fan favorite.

Celek and Barwin were in Mobile, helping to scout players from the Senior Bowl. By the way, a lot of players--not just Eagles players, want to stay connected to the game after they retired. Celek has a very lucrative real estate business in the Philly area, so it's not like he needs the money. I didn't see outrage on the board when Harold Carmichael worked in the front office for years in charge of player development--mostly teaching the rookies what to expect in the rookie symposium; or when Tra Thomas worked as an assistant OL coach during Kelly's tenure before Kelly fired him.
