Anyone get the sense that Embiid has been playing possum all season and will emerge really strong down the stretch?

Amazing what happens when Embiid spends most of the game in the paint. Having one of Embiid or Simmons in the paint surrounded by shooters is the recipe for success. Either Embiid posts up or he clears out and Simmons drives - either way it works. That 8 foot jumper that Embiid has is pretty much unstoppable as well. Horford spells Embiid and Simmons becomes the primary post player. Having Horford in there with the two of them makes it kind of impossible to do that. Glad Brown made the switch.

Moving Horford to the bench makes sense for everyone. The starting five is so much more efficient with Tobi at the 4 and another shooter on the floor. And I think Horford has the potential to thrive -- or at least show more signs of life -- as 6th man, especially playing more against backup bigs.

Also the best I've seen of Embiid/Simmons running their games together. A lot of action when Embiid sealed Simmons' man on the block, leaving Simmons the lane wide open. Or as you said, Embiid getting the ball on high post face-ups and either knocking down 10 footers, getting to the rim, or finding shooters from there.

LAC's rim defense isn't the best so these guys definitely feasted on that...but it's a step in the right direction. They're either gonna figure it out with Brown, or their not. This was a good showing.

9-19 on the road, so yes, can they do this away from home? can they go 10-2 or 9-3 on road, get a 3 or 4 seed and who knows then. Maybe they need Brett Brown at home and another coach on the road.
