  • Could Agholor's rise be

at least in part due to Mike Groh replacing Greg Lewis?

I think it's more the move to the slot and a better overall WR corps.

He's not dropping passes like he used to, so that could be coaching. He always ran decent routes.

History shows it's typically Year 3 where a wide receiver usually hits their stride. Also, Jeffery and Ertz are still drawing a lot of attention.

not really anymore. go back to AJ green and julio playing well their rookie seasons. in subsequent drafts you've had deandre hopkins, sammy watkins, alshon jeffery, OBJ, amari cooper, jarvis landry, kelvin benjamin...all those guys have only needed a year or two to get going. it's rare anymore that a guy who's as bad as agholor was in his first two seasons ultimately amounts to anything.

i think it's due to agholor getting his head on straight, jeffery and smith drawing coverage on the outside, and wentz's development.

Agholor is not a #1. He's Marqise Lee. While I get it doesn't apply across the board, the 'third year' bump happens a lot.

it used to. and it was typically with #1 or #2 receivers that were drafted in the first couple rounds. marqise lee is one of example of it happening with a high pick who isn't a #1 target. these days it is much more common for a high pick to either play well in their second, or even first season, or just go the way of freddie mitchell. the kevin whites and josh doctsons of the world typically don't amount to anything anymore. some guys like cordarrelle patterson or tayvon austin end up being good on special teams. nelson agholor has been a pleasant surprise this season.

Agholor had a one yard catch yesterday that may have been the best catch of the night. He wasn't making that catch last year. That coach deserves some credit.

                  I sincerely believe

The Wr's and the Db's coaching has improved exponentially....always seeing players leave like Chung, ect....Now the Wr are catching the ball much better, and the Db's are actually knocking down passes...I love it''

Gomer improves his Judgment and calling will help the team immensely...Love the new coaching Staff....Making the Diff this time out.

                    Rookie season he was 20.

That’s young at not everyone is hitting their stride at 20.
