Their big problem was (and is) sharing a stadium with another team being the landlord. Ok things are a little more even now but they are still playing the second fiddle position.

Chargers find themselves in the same position now. They need to move. Things won't get better after the new Rams stadium opens.

I've said this before but the Chargers situation is comical and one that they completely deserve.

At best they're the 3rd most popular team in a city that has not and will never embrace them. Their old city hates them and would never take them back unless the owner sold the team.

For however long they drag this out their stadium is going to look and sound like a neutral site game. Wait til they play the Raiders at home this year...
