I get what you are saying brother and I am not screaming that the sky is falling but we have to be honest here, Dougie's play calling has dramatically regressed since winning the SB. A lot of people want to argue that the Eagles have made the playoffs the last few years well YAY in the NFC East where the Cowboys continue to step on their own dicks and both the Giants and The Football Team have fielded JV teams for 3 or 4 years.

If the Eagles were in any other Division n the NFC over the past 2 years, they don't even sniff the playoffs and we all know it. Just because we all bleed green doesn't mean we all don't understand football and cannot be honest in our assessment or this coach and football team.

Yes injuries have run rampant on this team but it was built on old players more susceptible to injury because our FO can't draft for shit!


Face it, from FO, to HC to not having a great roster, this team needs a lot of help and gets by because of the magic of a few players and being in a historically terrible division for the past few years. Hate to say it but it is true.

I am not absolving 11 for his shit play at all. However, who installs the offense (HC) who makes adjustments (HC) and ultimately who gives Carson all that power to change the plays at the LOS (HC) see the trend?

If we want to blame Carson for changing the plays at the LOS the so called "BIG BALLS DOUG" need to reign him in and take that power away until he can be trusted again to do so. Doug runs the team it is his decision to tell Carson to fuck off and run his offense not 11's.

if it comes to that, I think the Eagles will need a new quarterback. Optimally Doug has to get Carson's head back to where it was in 2017. He was making good decisions then. The influence of Reich and Flip on Wentz is really missed.

Many have said Doug was better with Reich and DeFilippo including me and that may be why he has regressed as a play caller (I pointed this out in another thread). As a HC, if you can't control your QB and take some of his power away then that means your team really doesn't respect you. They just like playing for you because you let them do whatever they want without fear and consequence and that is not a plus as a HC. When is the last time a star player on this team that has played like dog shit been benched or sat out for some plays? No fear, no consequences!! Can't always call on a QB change to fix the problems.

So, get rid of 11 what is the plan? Who runs your franchise? Sure as shit isn't Sudfeld or Hurts!! And people are talking as if Franchise QB's are growing on trees!

Agreed, if Wentz could just find a proven HC and organization that has won a super bowl, preferably in the last 5 years - that would be an ideal situation.

Hurts is apparently the backup plan. I need to see him in an NFL game before judging him.

But I'm not near giving up on Wentz or Doug yet. Just recognizing the issues.

No you are right. Doug has been amazing at play calling since Reich and DeFillipo left lol. Skating into the playoffs in the worst division of all time, in cap hell, old as fuck team, no young nucleus to really build around due to yearly piss poor drafting (Ya, this year and future is shining bright!!)

Oline has no young bucks, QB and RB seem ok. WR is a joke (we will see about Reagor) should be set at TE - DLINE old and needs help, do we even have LB's? And Secondary is Meh.

Yup, we are headed down the right path. Amazing drafts, lots of young talent everywhere.

Seems everyone is happy we won a SB and that's it, fuck football forever. Wonder what it's like for other teams that try to win every year and aren't satisfied saying hey we won one we good!

Edit to add: Dougie is 38 - 27 .585% (take out the SB year he is barely a 500 coach in a horrid division) Not really a glowing resume! But hey I will always say he won a SB fuck ya and am greatful I saw one in my lifetime! But I am not one satisfied with one.
