  • Fun Fact

The Houston Texans went 2-14 in 2005. David Carr was in his fourth year quarterbacking the Texans. He was sacked 68 times in 2005, the third most times any quarterback was sacked in a single season.

And he still completed more than 60 percent of his passes, had an interception percentage of 2.6%, threw only 11 interceptions, and still had a passer rating 4 points higher than Wentz’s rating right now.

That can only mean one thing. And I don't know what it is.

      More fun fact:

David Carr was sacked 41 times in 2006. In 2007, the Texans returned 4/5 offensive linemen. Matt Schaub/Sage Rosenfels were sacked 22 times that season.

More fun facts: While playing rollerball for Houston, Jonathan critically injured 4 New York rollerballers in one match. The sun is 11,000 degrees F on the surface. Wangnutz suck.

He also threw only 14 TDs and had 17 fumbles that year. His wide receiver was Andre Johnson.

Wentz's yearly ratings prior to this was 101.9, 102.2, and 93.1 which directly coincides with the talent surrounding him. Specifically, not having a productive wideout.

Here's another Fun Fact: You'll notice last year, Wentz had only 3 games where his rating was below 80. In all three of those games, Jeffery did not play. For the record, I have yet seen anyone in the media point this out. It seems like something worth noting. Guess not.

I don't want to come off as Wentz's #1 apologist. I just want to explain why it's so frustrating when this team has failed to find Wentz that #1 wideout he deserves. All they had to do is stick to the script and draft the wideout that fell in their lap. They failed once again. Wentz will continue to fail the rest of the season because the talent around him is not going to get better. Howie knew what Wentz needed and just shit the bed. He had two somewhat wideout deep drafts to address the problem and they ended up with Reagor, JJAW and Hightower. Epic fail.

I had to stop watching after 'pigeon toeing' and 'hero ball'. My god that was rough. That guy's analysis was awful....and incorrect.

Your fun fact is not very fun and means absolutely nothing.

I’d be interested in knowing what was incorrect about his analysis.

He said the Eagles have shit for personnel (he threw in a shot at the end for not drafting Metcalf and Jefferson).

He said the Eagles have no pass blocking and no receiving talent.

He slaughtered Pederson and Press Taylor.

                      Kollman isn't a Wentz hater.

                      Now this is truly depressing...

Mechanics is not the problem. Watch Mahomes mechanics. He's missing receivers by six feet because they're not running the correct routes. Now keep in mind that this is expected with these young (average at best) receivers. We already know this. Once again, this isn't to say Wentz hasn't thrown bad passes like most QBs do.

All of this is expected when you don't know how to draft a playmaker. None of these receivers will get a 5-yard pass and break it for a long TD. None will be able to out jump a corner and make a catch. None will help bail out a QB when a throw is underthrown. None of these receiver can get separation.

If you're saying two of three biggest issues with Wentz are 'Mechanics' and 'Hero Ball', I really can't keep listening. Maybe the video got better. I highly doubt it.

I really can't believe how fucking stupid people are here. You want to get rid of Wentz for a fucking gimmick QB in Hurts? Move Wentz and who do you get cause great QB's are a dime a dozen right?

This dude blows this year but we want to blame it all on 11 and send him packing?

from 2017 - 2019 this guy had 10,818 yards / 81 TD's / 21 INT's and a 99 QBR with fucking shit at WR, barely and running game and a revolving door at Oline.

Seriously, some people are fucking hitting the bottle hard during COVID! Ya he sucks this year, flat out, but historically he has not with NO ONE to work with.

Why not defer all hatred until the FO gets this kid some help IE. an Oline and real NFL WR's

And if you think Dougie is not a problem at play calling then 1) why did he abandon the run last week and 2) what has Fulgham's numbers looked like since Jeffery has come back? He is not is not even being targeted and coach is saying he needs to get Alshon more involved. (That is a coaching problem when Fulgham has been tearing it up for weeks!)

Speaking of fucking stupid, there is not a single post in this thread suggesting getting rid of Wentz or mentioning Hurts.

It was a fire off of all the posts lately of get rid of him blah blah blah and how other QB's are so good and now we are comparing him to fucking Carr. Show me a 3 year stretch where Carr did this (10,818 yards / 81 TD's / 21 INT's and a 99 QBR) with literally shit!
