  • Bye week topic: Tankless Water Heaters.

So far so good. Takes about 30 seconds in the morning to get hot water. Mounted mine outside because it's less of a pain in the ass. Go Rinnai.

    Next topic. Crawlspace vents.

Are there issues with keeping a conventional water heater and adding tankless downstream? I can't see why there would be a problem and if I went tankless I'd rather not deal with removing a perfectly good conventional water heater until it died.

The venting if mounted inside, is insane. Good job. I'm getting one next year.
500 internet fights, that's the number I figured when I first joined igglephans. 500 internet fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate internet-tough guy. You need them for experience, to develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then...after...you realize that's what you are.

I'll be doing the same, not a terrible hard job, I'm like 3rd generation plumber. I do more than just lay pipe to DQ's tramp mother. But its just the matter of adding shutoffs to reroute the water.

Now I understand why our plumber discouraged us from trying to get one. Not a good option for a Phila. row house unless designed for one from the start.
