It makes zero sense when someone says every team passed on him. This team needed a #1 wideout (and still does). Most of the teams that passed on Metcalf didn't have a need like this team. This kid was a first-round talent coming off a broken neck. They drafted players with injuries before. They drafted players from smaller schools. They drafted a fucking fireman. Then they chose to play it safe? They chose a stiff instead. I refuse to give this CGM a pass on anything. He doesn't deserve it. He has single-handedly screwed up this team.

Brother we all agree Howie sucks donkey balls but there were many teams that needed WR talent (some a #1 wideout) including Mr. GM himself Bill Belichick who went with Harry and passed on DK twice. No one had DK ranked higher thank Hollywood or AJ Brown and anyone who says he was is smoking crack. Easy to say now that he is going beast mode but no one was using a 1 on DK with all that working against him and Seattle could afford to use a late 2nd on a project player nuff said.

Dallas did it with Jalen Smith kinda worked out. Howie did it with Sidney Jones and got burnt and didn't want to try a possible reclamation project again 2 years later. I really don't blame him for that one irrespective of all the other bone head moves he has made drafting players year after year.

Any most teams, the smart ones, don't draft for need they draft BPA unless you are top 5 and you need a QB. If you have a #1 WR and the BPA on your board is a WR you draft that player. teams always lose out drafting for need as they usually reach for a player not as good as the one sitting there that is better than the player you need to file a hole on your team.

When you extend your QB for $128M, you need to make sure you protect that asset The CGM knew he needed to get him wideouts. He tried two years in a row and he shit the bed, When this dope burns two high picks on a specific position and fails miserably, it's time to move on. You do BPA when you don't have a huge deficiency in certain areas. Unfortunately, they had issues. It's really simple, if they drafted either of those two wideouts would we even be having this discussion? Nope. Was it really necessary to draft Hurts in the second round? Nope. Now, we have a quarterback controversy on a gimmick quarterback. We've already been down this road with Vick. It's awful that we have to go through this again.
