  • Man the "Wentz is Selfish" Narrative

    Is WAYYYY overdone. The national media has picked it up and is criticizing him for not being a team player. I have seen no evidence of that. From what I saw, he was helping Hurts between series. I'm a Hurts Humper (R) but the narrative appears to me to be incorrect.

    I'm with you on that, looks like it's beyond repair now. Hearing stories now that Wentz would restructure his contract to make him more tradeable.

      NovaCare Smear Campaign.
      500 internet fights, that's the number I figured when I first joined igglephans. 500 internet fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate internet-tough guy. You need them for experience, to develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then...after...you realize that's what you are.

          I've always believed there is something to these reports. Something has seemed "off" about Wentz to me for a long time. Maybe he's just a weirdo.

          The latest thing was the reports that Wentz wants out of Philadelphia if he isn't the starter. If his camp isn't behind the reports, why not just come out and say they are false? I could sorta understand this sort of report during the offseason, but for them to come out on a gameday when the Eagles still had a shot at the playoffs just seems to not be putting the team first;

              At some point, these certain naīve fans are going to learn that these media dorks get paid on clicks and public reactions. Most of these goofs have zero credibility. You can tell the people on here who watch those nonsensical shows on ESPN and listen to local sports radio and take their opinions and fake narratives seriously. They can't distinguish between feeble attempts of entertainment and trying to create conversations/controversy and actual substance.

              Does Wentz appear to be anything but a great guy who wants to win? What exactly did he do over the last five years to now question this guy? Give me a fucking break. He's the leader of this team. He's going to rub some egos the wrong way. That's normal. There's plenty of people on here that manage other people. You will rub some people the wrong way. It happens. You can't please everyone unless you're a fucking doormat. I've managed 150 people before and I guaranteed at least 10 would have described me as 'selfish' for no reason. You can't please everyone and everyone sees you through different lenses. Why do we not think the same things happen in locker rooms? Especially with the egos they have to deal with. These narratives are silly.

                Howie learned the art of the smear from one of the greats: Joe Banner.
                You can almost hear Joe saying, “Well done, grasshopper. Well done.”
                John Erlichman, one of President Richard Nixon's closest aides, has admitted America's "War on Drugs" was a hoax designed to vilify and disrupt "the antiwar left and black people" when it was launched in 1971.

                  I totally believe that people who worked for you might not like you. You should consider switching to decaf, "fake coffee." Nevertheless, I was impressed by the use of the two little dots over the "i" in "naive." I have no idea where to find that two little dot thing. That marks you as a higher form of life than I, man. Two little dots is strong. Very strong, man.

                    But to you and IE, there is absolutely no benefit to the FO to slime Wentz. Even if they are total Hurts Humpers (R), they will then be in a position of everyone in the league (do you have to capitalize "League?") knowing that they have to trade Wentz. And if they devalue him as a leader, they are totally hurting his trade value. I'm just saying that the Tiki Barbers and the Boomer Esiasons are just taking a little bit of smoke and making it into what The One Who Suffered Snakebite said, clickbait. That doesn't mean I don't think Wentz stinks, I think he does. And the irony is that his stink is going to wear off a bit on this other QB from ND State too, who I think will probably fall in the draft some.

                      There is one firing offense: embarrassing Jeff Lurie. Right now with his saying that he has lost trust in the Eagles front office - after having received a contract setting up his next five generations for life - Wentz is doing just that. Now the front office will open the sluice gates and flush out all the sledge they have on Wentz in the media. This never ends well.

                      The Eagles are world class smear merchants.

                        I suspect your managerial ceiling may be a low one.

                          It is extremely hard to be a successful manager when your own performance sucks shit and the people you are managing all know it.

                              Lurie had to dip into his “new windmill blades” fund to pay Wentz this contract...he helluh pissed.
