I like Vai because he's so versatile. Not so sure about Garcia. He was good, and he was influential, but he wasn't in the same class.

                  Speaking of influential...Clapton. Or Segovia.

One guy few people know about is Don Ross. The guy is some kind of acoustic savant.

Not having Clapton in this pole invalidates it.

YOU ARE CORRECT.... BUT, AGAIN, THERE ARE SO MANY GREAT GUITARISTS THAT SHOULD BE ON.
THESE GUYS I THOUGHT OF IN MY HALF THE EMPTY WILD TURKEY BOTTLE....

I WISH I HAD A WAY TO HAVE A FIELD OF 64 BRACKET, VOTE 1 VS. 16, ETC.

WHO WOULD BE THE 4... 1'S....?

                          WHO WOULD BE THE 16'S...?

MAYBE I'LL DO ANOTHER WITH OTHERS THAT HAVE BEEN MENTIONED WHEN THIS DIES....SEE HOW THAT GOES..

IT'S NOT A BEST OF THE BEST POLE, JUST GUYS I THOUGHT OF. I THINK THAT WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE.

COULDA PUT ZAPPA ON THERE, BUDDY GUY, STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN, SO MANY BLUES GUITARISTS...ETC ETC

Nah, it's cool. I think I'd go with Jeff Beck on this list. But there is nobody that beats Clapton imho.
